3rd day
Dear All,
The boys bt Japan 2-1 with Sanjay losing to Ryosei Kobayashi 3-0
(7,14, 4). Made too many unforced errors in the 1st and was not
volleying enough. Listened to instructions n in the 2nd volleyed a lot
more with Ryosei trying to slow down the game with lobs and was
unlucky to 14-16 by a drop into the tin.Didn`t try in the 3rd and lost
easily.
Farhan went on next and easily bt Ryunosuke Tsukue 3-0 (6,2,4) Shafiq
also won easily beating Noaki Hayashi 3-0 (4,0,6)
We play Pakistan tomorrow. Pakistan by Korea 2-1.
Hong Kong Bt Kuwait 2-1
India Bt Iran 3-0
The girls team lost to Hong Kong 2-1. Vanessa went on first but could
not get her game going as she was very nervous and also a bit drained
of energy from the stomach upset she had the day before. She tried but
everything did not happen for her.
Rachel played very well today following instructions to detail. She
started off very well getting a big lead. In her haste of finishing up
the game quickly she let her opponent back into the game but she
managed to finish of the game. Her 2nd game was quite loose and gave
her opponent an easy game. She got her focus back in the 3rd and 4th
and won those games quite easily.
Celine started off the 1st game very promising running to a 3-0 lead
but she lost her focus and wanted to put the ball away too early
allowed her opponent to get some counter attacking move in. After that
she could not get her length going and her opponent with more
confidence now finishing off the next 2 games.

2nd Day
Dear All,
Both the Boys n Girls teams played Sri Lanka. Both won easily 3-0.
Only Farhan dropped a game. Order of play was 2,3,1.
Girls

Min Jie bt Gayara Jayasuriya 4,5,4,
Rachel bt Mihliya Methsarani 8,7,6
All easy games.
Boys
Shafiq bt Shamil Wakeel 1,5,4
Darren bt Viduranga Udantha 4,5,6
Farhan bt Ravindu Laksiri (7), 3,8,7
All easy games too except for Farhan who was a bit nervous in the 1st
game. But recovered well after that.
Boys are playing Kuwait at 6pm and that will be quite a tough tie.
1ST DAY
Dear All,
Our 1st matches went on today. The boys played Chinese Taipei and we
won 3-0. All the boys won 3-0 easily. Farhan went on 1st as the order
of play was 2,1,3 and won 1,1,0 playing Chang Chin Min. Next Sanjay
went on and won easily too in 2,5,7(Chen Hhieh Ming. Next was Shafiq
and he went on to beat Fu Chin Ching 6,3,3.
In the girls things were a bit different. Rachel went on 1st and was
very nervous and only playing well in patches losing 9,9,5 to Sadia
Gul. Then Vanessa went on to play Sammer Anjum winning 3,3,8
relatively easily. Then Celine went on to play the decider and won
easily too, beating Riffat Khan 2,3,3,
Tomorrow boys play Sri Lanka and Kuwait and girls play only Sri Lanka.
